Most famous composition of Yuvan Shankar Raja and the most popular song of Sai Pallavi and Dhanush, âRowdy Babyâ from the movie Maari 2 has set a new record by becoming the first South Indian (and Tamil) song to garner more than 1.5 billion (150 crore) views on YouTube.
Officially released on 28 November 2018, as a single from the film âMaari 2â, âRowdy Babyâ went viral instantly and has earned huge popularity among the music and dance lovers. The song has crossed the 1 billion view-mark in November 2020, and was also recognised as:
- Second fastest South Indian as well as Tamil language video to reach 100 million views in 17 days
- First Tamil song to cross 500 million views
- 7th in the list of âYouTubeâs Most-Watched Music Videos of 2019 Globallyâ
- 20th in the list of âMost-Viewed Indian YouTube Videosâ
Sung by Dhanush and Dhee, the song was choreographed by the renowned dancer Prabhu Deva.
